Here we go Again, Lakers, Leprechauns Advance
The league's 2 most storied franchises took care of business on each end to meet for the second time in three years and break one to one tie in that span and add to their rivalry lore.
The Leprechauns toppled other top team in the Leastern Conference and earned their the 21st Finals appearance, and 2nd in 3 years. They did it in convincing fashion leading by more than 20 points and getting a unexpected spark from Superman's only weakness, Krypto-Nate, who came in and scored 13 points including 2 3's withing 90 seconds to extend the lead to 15 and crushing the Magic's spirit in the process. Orlando's 3pt attack never got going and those with strong last 2 games had sub par games. Rashard 7 pts, Barnes did not take a single shot, and consistent Reddick had his lowest scoring game of the series with 7, and mighty mouse could only contribute 11 pts. Vinsanity had his second highest output of the series with 17 and Superman again was their best player, but without their long ball their season ended in disappointment and with many questions if they want to continue among not only the East's elite but the league. The Leprechauns breezed to the big dance behind Pierce's 31 pts and 13 boards, 5 players scored in double figures, but the difference was of course the Celtic's calling card, their D. They ended up holding the Magic to just above 43% shooting and only 27% from three point land, Pierce would take care of the rest needing only 20 points from Ray Allen and the Krypto-Nate spark in the second broke the Magic. With plenty of time to go, Boston's faithful and band wagoners alike started chanting a familiar tone, "Beat LA, Beat LA".
The Lakers celebration came on the road as they closed off the disappointed Suns in their home floor. The Lakers victory seemed easy before the Machine's antics sparked the Suns bench to cut an 18 point lead to 3, while I don't agree it should have been a flagrant, it was a moronic call by Vujacic. Unfortunately for the Suns, Amare decided to show up to late, and now will take an early vacation to ponder his future in the valley of the Suns. The Lakers survived Gasols lowest playoff point total and poor play by the bench led by Lamar who was 3/12 for just 6 pts. The Champs still have Mamba and he was huge hitting some ridiculous clutch shots to keep the Suns at bay and earn a trip to his 7th NBA Finals appearance. The Lakers have gotten payback on the Spurs back in '08, now the Suns for '06-07, and now get a chance to redeem themselves against their hated rival, the Leprechauns for the ass kicking they were issued 2 years ago
The NBA universe is back in order, Lakers/Celtics are again on top, it's gonna be a hell of a series.
